Coping with Loneliness and Isolation at Home
Loneliness and isolation within social care can be a really serious issue which can have far reaching consequences for those affected - not in only in their health but also quality of life.
It is an increasing facet of modern life and global studies have shown that if not addressed it can negatively impact and cause cognitive decline, depression and anxiety issues – which in turn can translate into physical health problems as well.
Don't Struggle Alone: Our Dedicated Carers Are Here to Help
Ways to address these problems is a concern fully recognised and addressed by the Gabriel’s Angels care teams. We see the increase in these kind of situations and we work hard to address them by treating each of our clients as part of the Gabriel’s Angels “family”.
It is important for the individual that they find ways themselves to do recognise the issue. An example is Karen T – a recent client of ours. Karen recognised that she was lonely but has also addressed it by her focus on her absolutely exquisite drawings that she creates.

By having certain focal points during the day such as enjoying a creative outlet and having regular visits from our care team really has transformed her well being.
In Karen’s words: “I am so glad I found Gabriel’s Angels; they have made a big difference to my life. I currently have them three times a week and they are all so competent & lovely it is a delight to have them in my house. If I am feeling well, I love to sit and just chat to them, and if I am feeling a little under the weather they make a meal for me. They really do everything they can to make my life so much better"
