Therapeutic Animal-Assisted Activities

We can visit animals in various settings with your child if they are comfortable and willing to do so. Animals really play a crucial role in helping children develop social skills, emotional connections, and confidence. Through structured interactions with animals, children can experience joy, comfort, and a sense of companionship.

Linking Education and Learning

We can offer personalised educational programs incorporating your child’s schooling, designed to address the specific learning needs of each child. Our experienced care support workers use evidence-based strategies to enhance academic skills, promote cognitive development, and help foster a love for learning.

Behavioural Therapy

Gabriel’s Angels utilise behavioural therapy services which are tailored to help children with ADHD and autism manage their behaviours more effectively. We employ techniques such as Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to teach positive behaviours, improve communication skills, and reduce challenging behaviours.

The therapy is based on the principle that behaviour is learned and can be changed by manipulating the environment. ABA uses positive reinforcement, where desirable behaviours are rewarded to make them more likely to happen again.

Social Skills Training

We provide social skills training to help children navigate social interactions and build meaningful relationships. Gabriel’s Angels focus on improving communication, empathy, and cooperation, enabling children to connect with peers and adults in a supportive environment.

Family Support and Counselling

We understand that supporting a child with special needs involves the entire family. Our family support services include resources to help parents and caregivers understand their child's condition, develop effective strategies, and foster a positive and nurturing home environment.

Individual Care Plans

Each care plan is highly personal to the child’s needs, we work with the family to ensure that they are also fully supported, and the therapy is monitored and developed over time.

At Gabriel's Angels, we believe in a unique person-centred approach. Gabriel’s Angels support your child in their own home and community, providing individual gentle support to build confidence and give families space and time to breathe. We can work closely with therapists already involved with the child and family. This collaborative method ensures that our services are seamlessly integrated into the child's existing care plan, enhancing the effectiveness of our interventions.

Fun Activities

Fun activities are a must!!! - We want to hear laughter and provide a safe space for your child to be themselves, to grow and thrive. We work closely with each family to identify what your child likes to do, what their individual triggers are, and what we can do to minimise trauma and help your child deal with past negative experiences

Community Integration

We take children out into the community to engage in activities of their choice. Whether it's visiting parks, going to scouts, beavers, cubs, girl guides, participating in sports, or exploring local attractions, these outings help children develop social skills, build confidence, and enjoy new experiences in a supportive environment.
