We love seeing clients get their mojo back!

One of our lovely clients -we will call him J – had lost his mojo - but Gabriel’s Angels have helped him get it back!

J’s life was not where - he or we – wanted it to be when his neighbours intervened and asked us to help him. It became clear that it was not just all the usual personal care tasks that a typical domiciliary care agency typically get involved in – it was much more wide ranging than that.

His current Gabriel’s Angel main carer, Clare, pictured below with J, has worked with the whole Gabriel’s Angels team in helping to rebuild and transform many aspects of J’s life. We started by initiating a close contact with his solicitor to advise on financial matters, and help addressing many of the changes needed in his life and arranged for a ramp around his house, a new walk-in shower room, and a new wheelchair to aid his restricted mobility.

Clare has become more of a family member for J as his direct family relatives are also sick and cannot assist, and she has helped by cooking big batches of fresh homemade food for him, arranging specialist foot care for him (which he loves), going to the pub for a pub lunch, deep cleaning his house with the Gabriel’s Angels team, and arranging for a gardener to revamp his garden to name just a few! . The next current project is to get a much more comfortable armchair than his current one!. Clare is really active in J’s life now – helping him and advising him in all things he now wants to do.

As an example of his physical improvements - J’s mobility has improved as a result of all these changes – he recently attended one of the Gabriel’s Angels Nicky’s Club events (see below image) and we were astounded to see him walking into our building unaided with Clare walking behind with his wheelchair! J is also seeing his neighbours now who have remarked how lovely it is to see him fully back to form.

It means a lot to us at Gabriel’s Angels to see clients positively transform their lives with our active help and support – going the extra mile to truly make a difference!
